There are many different types of washing machine problems people can experience.
Below is a list of some common ones:
Lack of water: If the washing machine isn’t getting enough water to spin, it will not be able to remove the clothes properly. Check to make sure the water valve is open and that the hose is plugged into an appropriate outlet.
Clothes not coming out: This could be due to insufficient agitation, clogged drainage channels, or a broken agitator. In most cases, fixing one or more of these issues will resolve the issue.
Fouled water: If dirty clothes are being washed with clean water, this can cause soap residue and other contaminants to form in the machine’s filters. Over time, this build-up can reduce the efficiency of the machine’s filtration system and lead to cleaning problems.
If your washing machine is not spinning and does not seem to be draining properly, it may need repair.
You can tell if your washing machine needs repair by checking the following:
- If water is only coming out of the front loader and top loader (the two lids on top of the machine), then your machine may need a new pump.
- If water is coming out of all the drains, including the drain in the bottom of the tub or on the floor, then your machine may need a new seal or pump.
- If water leaks from any part of the machine while it’s in use, then your machine may need a new motor or belt.
