If your washing machine is not doing its job properly, it may be time for repairs.
Here are some things you can expect when your washing machine is in for repair:
- The washing machine may take longer to spin and fill with water.
- Washing machines should normally fill with water in around 20 minutes but may take up to an hour for the machine to reach full cycle.
- The water coming out of the washing machine may be cloudy or have a strong smell.
- The drum inside the washing machine may be dirty and filled with lint.
A washing machine is a device used to clean clothes. It uses water and soap to wash the clothes.
Types Of Washing Machines
Top washing machines are available in different types, sizes and capacities. The six most common types of washing machines are: top loading washers, front-loaders, top loaders with dryers, front-loaders with dryers, stacked washers/dryer combos, and clothes moths.
Top loading washers use a hinged tub that drops down from the top of the machine when it is in use. Top loaders with dryers have a built-in clothes dryer that uses electricity or gas. Front-loaders have a larger opening at the front of the machine so large items can be loaded into it.
Top loaders with dryers have a door on the front that opens for loading/unloading. Stacked washers/dryer combos have two chambers; one for clothes and one for wash water. Clothes moths prefer clean laundry but will eat fabric near the edges of laundering cycles if they can reach it.
